Gabriel Fauré – La Bonne Chanson
With La Bonne Chanson, Fauré gives voice to the lyricism of poet Paul Verlaine. This work for mezzo-soprano and string quartet radiates lightness, refinement, and romanticism. Fauré weaves melody and accompaniment into an intimate dialogue, rich in subtle colors and harmonic depth.
Claude Debussy – String Quartet in G minor, Op. 10
Debussy’s only string quartet is a masterpiece of innovation and expression. Breaking with traditional structures, the quartet enchants with its wealth of tonal colors, vibrant rhythms, and impressionistic atmosphere. Here, Debussy opens a new dimension in chamber music, with each movement possessing its own distinct character and narrative.
