Matangi Moving Music Anniversary Festival
This year, Matangi celebrates its 25th anniversary. You are warmly invited to celebrate the anniversary of this Hague quartet at the mini-festival Matangi Moving Music on October 12, in Nieuwe Kerk, The Hague. In the afternoon concerts, the quartet members are excited to share their favorite works. With string quartets by Haydn, Beethoven, and Shostakovich on their music stands, you will hear the crème de la crème of string quartet history. After cake and a Matangi Talk, more music follows. Steve Reich's "Different Trains" for string quartet and tape will be performed, as well as the world premiere of Pete Harden's "For Bridget (after Riley)." In the evening, you will experience touching letters in an enchanting sound world with "P.S. ft. Matangi & Ruben Hein."
