Upbeat: Moving Music Festival

In the intimate Kas van Rouwen en Vieren, two powerful phenomena come together on 20 December: death and the universal language of music. Amid the bustle of the city, the quieting, comforting sounds of the Matangi Quartet briefly connect twenty strangers with one another — through music and through “thinking of.” Between 12:00 and 13:00, Matangi will perform a short mini-concert three times.

This special performance is a prelude to the Moving Music Festival, organized by Matangi in collaboration with Amare The Hague. On Saturday, 24 January 2026, you can discover beautiful, lesser-known gems of classical music here: surprising, moving, and wonderfully enchanting.
